The shoulder cutout is what pulls focus first. The tee itself is a straightforward black-and-white stripe, the kind of thing you'd expect to read as basic, until you notice the torn opening at the shoulder and the second hole near the collarbone. It turns a simple pattern into something with actual texture.
The rest of the outfit stays wide and quiet enough to let that detail hold attention. Wide black shorts drop just past the knee, the checked tote sits low across the body and adds its own grid pattern without competing with the stripes above it, and the platform soles give the whole look some height and weight at the bottom. Nothing here is fighting for space.
Layered silver necklaces and a couple of rings do a lot of the styling work in a small area — enough metal to catch light without turning into a statement. It reads less like an accessory choice and more like something built up over time.
Little Tokyo's paper lanterns hang loose in the background, red and white circles echoing the tee's own black-and-white rhythm. It's a small coincidence, but it's the kind of thing that makes a street photo work — the outfit and the setting land on the same color logic without trying to.
