The sunglasses are what tie this together before anything else does. Both of them in dark lenses, both looking off in different directions, hands still linked between them. It reads less like a coordinated outfit and more like two people who got dressed separately and ended up on the same wavelength anyway.
Her slip dress does the quiet work — a white tank underneath keeps the neckline from going too bare, and the pleated tan bag adds the only warm tone in the frame. His shirt is the more decorated piece, that contrast stitching running along the collar and cuffs, but the charcoal shorts pull it back down to earth so nothing feels dressed up.
Neither look is trying to match the other, which is exactly why they work side by side. Her sneakers stay simple and white, his bring in a slice of green, and the boardwalk behind them — pink umbrella, palm trees, a Bazaar sign — gives the whole thing a loose, midday Venice energy without either of them performing for it.
