Fifteen looks in our archive pair a denim-based outfit with a washed-out bottom half, and the pairing shows up across the full sample rather than in one shoot or one week. Seven of those fifteen were photographed in Downtown LA, though the rest are scattered elsewhere, so it reads less like a neighborhood habit and more like a general instinct. Fifteen out of 213 is a small slice, but it's a consistent one — enough to notice that when denim is the anchor, the bottom half tends to lighten up rather than match.
