The wired earbuds are what catch you first, that thin white cord running down into a hood pulled up like a shield, half the face lost inside pink-and-navy camo. It's a specific kind of stillness, the posture of someone tuned out of the plaza and into something else entirely.
Next to him, the energy changes completely. Head down, hands working through a paper tray of food, the Honduras jersey doing its own thing in white and blue while the wide light-wash jeans pool over white low-tops. Two different moods sitting on the same stone bench, and somehow the outfits don't compete.
Both proportions are doing similar work in different directions, one baggy through dark denim and boxy through the hood, the other wide-legged and pale, jersey tucked loose enough to move. Neither look is trying to be seen. That's what makes them worth looking at.
Little Tokyo gives it the right backdrop, the rough boulder and worn stone bench doing more for texture than any studio setup could. Skewer in one hand, chopsticks in the other, everyone just existing in their own clothes.
